Angela Girol has been a leader in implementing innovative learning opportunities for young students since coming to Elizabeth Forward 17 years ago and recently received national recognition for her work in the classroom. Angela now wants to bring this passion for helping others to Harrisburg as she works to improve the lives of the residents here in the 39th House District.
In Harrisburg, Angela will:
• Fight corruption by introducing bills to address campaign finance reform, ban lawmakers and staff from becoming lobbyists for life, and ban politicians from taking gifts and other “perks.”
• Fully fund PA’s public schools at the state level by closing tax loopholes for the wealth and large corporations and work to lower property taxes for working-class people and retirees on fixed incomes.
• Protect personal freedoms, like access to abortion and reproductive healthcare, via introducing a constitutional amendment.
• Address quality of life issues such as fighting for higher minimum wages, paid family leave, elder care, and fair income taxes.
