Hello to all friends of democracy!

I’m Angelea “AJ” Hines, and I’m running for Macon County Board in District 2.

I am proud to be a fierce advocate for voting rights, women’s and LGBTQI+ rights, racial justice, and democracy. My goal is to advance Democratic values while making diplomacy, common sense, and compassionate care the foundation of how we serve our constituents here in Macon County, Illinois.

It is my firm belief that an unbalanced County Board does more harm than good. We deserve more than one-party control of our local government. I believe electing new leaders can bring the meaningful change many of us seek.
