Anna for DMPS School Board
Born and raised in Des Moines, I was a student of this district. A lot has changed since I graduated from East High School, many years ago. As a mom of 6, three East high graduates and a 1st grader at Phillips Elementary School Ilive in the heart of this district.
Safety has been a major issue within the district, from reports of guns in school, to the victims of the shooting outside of East, to a hit and run that killed a 14-year-old walking home from school. We need to find a way to keep our kids and school safe. We need to intertwine the relationships between our students, teachers and families.
Running for school board costs money please consider donating. Every dollar will help fund my campaign.
Nacido y criado en Des Moines, fui estudiante de este distrito. Mucho ha cambiado desde que me gradué de East High School, hace muchos años. Como madre de 6 hijos, tres graduados de East High y un estudiante de 1er grado en la Escuela Primaria Phillips viven en el corazón de este distrito.
La seguridad ha sido un problema importante dentro del distrito, desde informes de armas en la escuela, hasta las víctimas del tiroteo fuera del este, hasta un atropello y fuga que mató a un joven de 14 años que caminaba a casa desde la escuela. Necesitamos encontrar una manera de mantener seguros a nuestros hijos y a la escuela. Necesitamos entrelazar las relaciones entre nuestros estudiantes, maestros y familias.
