My name is Anndrea Young. I am a 5th Ward resident and advocate for residents of the Ward. Some of my work consists of being a member of the Blue Line Coalition, Bring Back 6th Coalition, advocating for the closure of the HERC, housing justice and bringing resources into the community such as candidate forums, backpack giveaways, and Earth Day Clean-Up events. I have decided to run for the 5th Ward because I am passionate about the community that I am from and I believe that the fight to making a difference is bigger than the level in which I currently work. I am determined to bring true leadership into the Ward. Yes, I am running a grassroots campaign and with your help, I can continue to elevate the voices of the residents in Ward 5.
Contribution rules
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- A legislator or state constitutional officer who is a candidate for a county, city, or town office, the candidate's principal campaign committee, and any other political committee with the candidate's name or title may not solicit or accept a contribution from a political fund or registered lobbyist during a regular session of the legislature.
