"As a 2019 graduate of the Voke, I know firsthand how career technical education can shape a student’s future for the better. I started my involvement coaching swim for six seasons and have been substitute teaching for over three years. Now, I feel inspired to give back to the community that has given me so much.
Career technical education is a catalyst for social mobility and an engine for local economies, which is why GLTHS is such an incredibly important asset to our community. As the next generation, young people need to have a seat at the table. GLTHS deserves a fresh perspective, yet a familiar face – someone who can bring a more recent student experience to the school committee."
