Join lead sponsor of the Sunlight Act Senator Jamie Eldridge and activist and scholar Dr. Raul Fernandez for a genuine conversation about the broken state of our democracy on Beacon Hill and how we can work together to fix it.

Shining Sunlight on Beacon Hill: A Conversation with Senator Jamie Eldridge & Dr. Raul Fernandez

When: Sunday April 7, 2:00 - 4:00 PM

Where: Wellesley (exact address will be provided upon purchase of a ticket)

The Massachusetts State House is one of the least transparent in the country. This “old boys club” culture of careerism and backroom deals has led to a government that is slow, timid, and far more conservative than its constituents–all despite having a Democratic supermajority.

Thats why Act on Mass was founded: to hold lawmakers accountable to the people of Massachusetts, not corporate interests.

Our priority bill, the Sunlight Act (S.1963), includes a suite of pro-transparency, pro-accountability measures that would put power back in the hands of the people -- where it belongs.

The Sunlight Act has already cleared a major hurdle this legislative session, and now sits in Senate Ways & Means. We can get this critical bill a vote in the Senate by the end of the session, but we need your help.
