Sunday, August 20 - 2 pm to 4 pm
Hosted by All Rise Alameda

Please join All Rise Alameda in raising funds to support the Center for Common Ground in its critical efforts to protect democracy in Virginia's statewide elections THIS November.
Virginia is the last state in the South without a Republican abortion ban, and the MAGA-inspired agenda of the state's Republican governor must be stopped. That's why this "off-year" election in Virginia is so important. And that's why we're supporting the Center for Common Ground which has a proven track record of turning out the vote--and turning back the right wing attacks on our freedoms.
Your tax-deductible donation is your RSVP to our in-person event. We're requesting a minimum of $25 per person--and that donation reserves your spot at the fundraiser along with a delicious margarita! Non-alcoholic beverages and hors d'oeuvres will also be served. Once we receive your RSVP, we'll be in touch to confirm your attendance, number of guests, and the event location.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND IN PERSON:
Please consider making a donation of any amount.
Donors who cannot attend the event will have the option of viewing our short program at the fundraiser on Zoom, and Andrea Miller, Executive Director of the Center, will be our featured speaker. The Zoom link will be emailed to you a few days before the event.
Don’t miss this chance to defend our democracy!
We hope you'll join us on August 20th!

About the Center for Common Ground:
This grassroots voting rights organization knows how to get out the vote in BIPOC and rural communities with strategies that make a difference in winning elections. The Center's Reclaim Our Vote project works with local, on-the-ground partners to build effective, respectful, and relevant campaigns that engage BIPOC voters. Its 12 Democracy Centers in five southern states support ongoing, year-round civic engagement to achieve meaningful progress on issues of importance in underserved communities of color--ranging from providing equitable STEM scholarships to environmental justice events in support of communities living without potable water.
