In the 2022 elections, if Democrats lose control of the US House or Senate, or lose control of swing states like Pennsylvania,
then losing control of the presidency,
house and senate in 2024 are all but guaranteed. Here are the candidates for critical races in 2022 that I have endorsed, and donated to. Join me in donating to these crucial candidates campaigns.
Governor:
In Pennsylvania, our Democratic Governor (Wolf) has reached his term limit. Josh Shapiro, PA's current Attorney General, is the Democratic nominee for Wolf's seat. Wolf has been the only thing preventing the Republican controlled House and Senate in Pennsylvania from passing laws that restrict voting access, eliminate covid protections and make guns freely available. Donate to Josh Shapiro to keep PAs Governor a Democrat.
Federal Senate:
Representative Malcolm Kenyatta currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Philadelphia Delegation, as a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Suicide Prevention, and on a host of committee leadership positions. As the first openly LGBTQ+ person of color and one of the youngest members elected to the PA General Assembly, he is deeply committed to creating an equitable and inclusive society. As a legislator, he has championed proposals to address generational poverty, raise the minimum wage, protect workers' rights, increase access to mental healthcare, stem the rise of gun violence, and protect our digital infrastructure.
US House of Representatives:
Voting rights lawyer, Chris Deluzio is running for the United States House of Representatives House District PA-17, currently held by Democrat Connor Lamb, who is running for the US Senate. Democrats hold the House by only 10 seats, which makes protecting this seat in western PA so important.
Pennsylvania State Senate:
In 2018, Mark Pinseley ran for State Senate and came within 2,700 votes of unseating longtime incumbent Republican Pat Browne, losing by less than 1.5% of votes. Based on his strong showing in that race, Mark was drafted to run for Lehigh County Controller in 2019, where he defeated the eight-year incumbent. Now, he's running against Pat Browne again and has a good shot at taking this seat for Democrats. We only need to take back 4 seats to have a Democratic controlled Senate, and Mark will be one of them.
