Artful Resistance

Mark your calendars for September 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM for a night of artful resistance.

ARTFUL RESISTANCE is a night of staged readings of short plays, poetry and music in support of grassroots activism and Democracy Action Network (DAN).

DAN is inviting you to a one night only theater event to create dialogue around topics that have become hot button issues since Trump 2.0.  The event is a reading of short plays written by local playwrights on their views of the topics that matter most to our community.

The purpose of this event is to get our audience to think about the world around them, to be amongst like-minded activists and to hopefully provide catharsis and reprieve from the crazy world around us.  Creation and art are resistance by their very nature. This event is an opportunity to spark conversation, ideas and community amongst like minded people to help uplift.

There will be talk back after the reading, and then drinks at the bar The Plunge, next to the theater.

Note: DAN is dedicated to non-violent activism in the form of protest, education and art.   Check out DAN’s Substack and Website below for more information about our work and mission.
