Ash's Fundraising Page for Organizing to Win: Building Racial Justice with White Poor and Working Class Communities

Goal thermometer

“What now?”That’s the big question at the forefront of all our minds in the wake of Trump. “What physical, tangible, actionable thing can I do that’s actually going to make a concrete difference?” We’re in a unique moment where people are activated.

More and more white folks are awakening to the call of racial justice. We realize that to change the racist landscape of white supremacy, we must stand behind black movements, and we must also awaken other whites. In short, white people must organize white people if we’re to end racism.

That’s why I work with a white, anti-racist collective called the Catalyst Project. We believe that racism is one of the fundamental forces keeping systemic injustice in place, and as white people we believe we have a strategic role to play in ending it.

From April 20-23rd, Catalyst Project and the Highlander Center will bring together leaders of color with organizations that build anti-racist power in poor and working class white communities to share skills, analysis, and strategies for building anti-racism in white working class and poor communities towards multiracial movements for liberation.

Right now, we’re in a crunch campaign to raise money for this convening. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in 6 days.

Will you help build anti-racist power and donate to this convening?

To break the cycle of racism,we need everyone on board. Will you join me by donating and take one tangible, concrete step closer to creating the world that we want to see?

Many thanks. We’re in this together.
