Ashwin is running for State Senate in one of the most important state legislative races in the country.
Ashwin has a B.S. in Computer Science at Stanford and would take office with a J.D. from Georgetown. In 2020, Ashwin worked in the federal government on cybersecurity to protect our elections. He would be the first computer scientist in the State Legislature and Gen Z member of the State Senate.
This race is one of the most competitive down-ballot races in GA, and he's running against an incumbent who was indicted with Donald Trump for fraud and trying to overturn the 2020 election results. He would be the youngest Indian American to hold state political office in the country, and this election is crucial to energizing this constituency to help keep Georgia blue in 2024.
