In 2014, Ted Lieu was elected to California’s 33rd Congressional District, succeeding retiring 40-year incumbent Henry Waxman. Ted is serving in his fourth term in Congress and currently sits on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He was also elected by his Democratic Colleagues this Congress to serve as a Co-Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. Ted is a former active-duty officer in the U.S. Air Force. Following active duty, Ted served in the Air Force Reserve, retiring with the rank of Colonel in 2021.

Contribution rules

  4. I am not a federal contractor.
  5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Ted Lieu for Congress may accept contributions from individuals and unincorporated businesses and federal PACs of $2,800 per election (the Primary and General are separate elections). Qualified federal multicandidate PACs may contribute up to $5,000 per election. Corporate and labor union contributions are not permitted by law. Federal government contractors and foreign nationals are also prohibited from making contributions to this committee. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
