Atascosa Victory Campaign

Greetings

Thank you for your support of the Atascosa COunty Democrtic Party! While the COVID-19 Pandemic created challenges, here at home in Atascosa County we:

  • Appointed new precinct chairs to help get out the vote
  • Hosted coordinated phone banks
  • Used text messages to reach out to voters, both locally and nationally.
  • Hosted Pop Up voter registration & GOTV events
  • Worked to expanded voter access
  • Fought to ensure that voting sites remained open
  • Played an active role in litigation that prevented the Secretary of State from purging voters

We are proud to report that we took an active role in the re-election of Congressman Henry Cuellar, State Senator Judith Zaffirini of Senate District 21, and State Representative Ryan Guillen of Texas House District 31.

We helped take back Texas Senate District 19 by working to elect Senator Roland Gutierrez. We were also involved in the election of Justice Rebeca Martinez as Chief Justice of the 4th Court of Appeals.

Our county-wide candidate came within 7% of winning his election and in the primary, we increased democratic participation by 8%. There is a path to victory for Democrats in Atascosa County. We will continue to organize, train volunteers and recruit candidates.

Our goals as a party moving forward include: opening a party headquarters, providing support to candidates, and expanding our outreach efforts.

To do this important work and increase the vote in Atascosa County, I am asking for your help. Please consider making a financial contribution today so that together we can build a path for democratic victories right here at home.

Whether it is a one time gift or a monthly recurring contribution, any support that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Together we can and will turn Atascosa blue. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Respectfully,

Chairwoman Julie Hilberg
