Support the First Amendment Lawyer Bridge Legal Defense Fund!

Legal Representation is important. This is especially true in Metro Atlanta today as dozens of individuals are being prosecuted as a result of exercising their First Amendment Right to protest and dissent.

First Amendment protections are slowly being eroded as prosecutions grow in complexity and frequency. The First Amendment Lawyer Bridge project (“The Bridge”) is an innovative, first-of-its-kind response to efforts to quell dissent---a mass defense infrastructure, harnessing the collective expertise, creativity and power of movement. At its core, The Bridge is an attorney-client pairing project for individuals facing prosecution.

For example, The Bridge has paired over 50 of the defendants named in the Fulton County “Stop Cop City” RICO indictment and continues to support those pairings with technological, training, research and investigative support. Your donations make their joint-defense possible.

Community Justice Exchange, in coordination with the First Amendment Lawyer Bridge Project at Southern Center for Human Rights, is collecting donations that will be used to fund the legal defense of those being arrested and prosecuted in Metro Atlanta.
