Last week, we went all out to advance the Equal Rights Amendment on the federal level.
First, we stood outside of the Hart Senate Office Building for THREE DAYS to demand the Senate bring SJ Res 1, a resolution in the Senate to remove the deadline on the ratification of the ERA, to the floor. We bird-dogged several Senators, talked to fellow lobbyists, and made it clear that we are ready to put our bodies on the line for our constitutional equality.
Second, we met with 50 Senate and House offices, including Senator Schumer, to make the ERA a priority and get legislation to the floor that will advance the ERA.
Finally, we SLEPT OUTSIDE OF THE WHITE HOUSE to demand Biden use his power to enshrine gender equality in our Constitution.
