Austin Baeth

I'm on a mission to heal Iowa.

Being an Iowan used to mean something that went beyond political identity.

For me, it meant that we were instilled with values that now make it seem so un-Iowan to see our neighbors bankrupted by medical bills, our children's educators threatened with jail time over books, and our legislators serving their party rather than their people.

It’s heart-wrenching to witness, and I'm embarrassed that it's happening in my home state. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand by any longer and watch Iowa be destroyed by Fox News, conspiracy theories, or political consultants in Washington D.C.

I can’t watch as we lose our family members to a pandemic, our friendships to political division, or our national reputation to politicians who are too scared to stand up to the Governor.

My name is Austin Baeth and I’m running for House District 36 because our system is sick and I’m a doctor with experience fixing complex problems. I’m not going to give up on my community, my son’s future, or what it means to be an Iowan.

I hope you’re with me.
