Climate Hawks Vote

Climate Hawks for Arizona

Our endorsed climate hawk, Yassamin Ansari, won her July 30 primary election after a recount found that she beat out her primary opponent by 39 votes, 19,087 to 19,048. Every vote mattered.

Climate hawks made thousands of calls to support Ansari, a former vice-mayor of Phoenix who wrote the city’s first climate action plan and worked with local unions to build a booming clean, electric industry.

Yassamin will go on to run in the general election to represent AZ-03, a Phoenix district currently represented by Ruben Gallego, who is running for Senate (and who we’ve also endorsed). We are confident that she will win in this deep blue district.

This was an incredibly close, incredibly contested election, and our calls and work made all the difference. Chip in here to support Ansari, and other Arizona climate hawks, in the general election!
