Back from session, but the fight’s not over

Friends,

On Saturday, the General Assembly adjourned sine die, closing out my first legislative session in the House.

Over the past 60 days, myself and several other delegates banded together to get funding for our Metro system, more recess time for students in our schools, fought for Medicaid expansion (a partial version has made it through the House and is being negotiated on the Senate side), and we stood up to Dominion Energy and blocked several provisions that would hurt Virginia ratepayers.

A special session for the state budget is slated for later this year, but for now we’re back in the 50th district, working hard to help our constituents, and continue fighting for workplace protections, net neutrality, and healthcare coverage for all Virginians.

We appreciate all of your support, and need your help to stay in this fight and finish the work we’ve started to improve the lives of working Virginians. Can you donate $10, $20, or $30 to help make that possible?

In solidarity,

Lee Carter

Delegate, Virginia’s 50th House District
