After a 33-year career as a project manager at Y-12, Anne Backus is running to bring the voices of Anderson County families to the Tennessee House. As a mother, grandmother, and active community volunteer, she is committed to putting people first and ensuring government works for everyone.
Anne's priorities include strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, supporting living wages for working families, increasing affordability, promoting safe communities, and protecting equality for all Tennesseans. She believes every child deserves a quality public education, every family deserves access to healthcare, and every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
