Be A Hero’s founder—Ady Barkan—died from complications of ALS on November 1, 2023. The Ady Barkan Fund for Health Justice will honor Ady’s life and legacy and ensure that the critical work Ady started will continue.


Your contribution to the this fund will help:

  1. Build a powerful movement of people working to make America’s health care system more just, equitable, and humane.
  2. Power strategic campaigns that expose the ways that corporate interests corrupt our health care system and harm patients.
  3. Enable the team at Be A Hero to chart a strategic path forward and to transition to the next phase of our work.
