Color Of Change

We Build and Organize to Resist and Defeat.

Black people have a legacy of resilience and are powerful enough to resist and defeat Trump. We are cultivating a robust opposition movement and need your help. With your contribution, here are just some of things we are going to make happen in 2017 in order to protect Black people and build real public safety:

  • Mobilize activists across the country to take direct action against the prison profiteering bail industry that drives mass incarceration and tears families apart.
  • Host convenings for Black policy wonks, direct action specialists, and organizing strategy gurus to create a national united force to stop Trump’s anti-Black administration in its tracks.
  • Provide tools for educators like this Bail Curriculum to support activists
  • and students as they analyze profiteering in the criminal justice system and identify intervention points to abolish and transform.
  • Develop secure websites and other digital spaces for Black resistors to transfer vital information and resources in times of rapid response.
  • Hold prosecutors and other elected officials accountable that encourage the slave-like tactic of forcing Black families to pay for freedom.
The struggle is real in 2017. And in order for us to keep fighting for Black political power in this crucial moment, we need to fund our movement and create space for us to work together. If you believe that we will win, chip in and make it a reality.
