As a newly elected official, Mark Baker quickly passed some of the most progressive legislation in Georgia history including the Crown Act (bans natural hairstyle-based discrimination), Ban the Box Act, Breonna's Law (banning no-knock warrants), marijuana decriminalization, and a range of economic development policies.

The legislation Mark sponsored was designed to level the playing field and remove the persistent barriers that our friends and neighbors are dealing with on a day-to-day basis.

Now Mark is taking that fight to Congress. Our rights have been under unprecedented attack yet our elected officials in Congress have been asleep at the wheel, refusing to adapt to the challenges we face. We had 50 years to codify reproductive rights into law. Those rights are now gone. We've had decades to implement enhanced voting rights, civil justice reform, and modernize environmental and economic policies, yet incumbents sat by and watched as our protections were chipped away, piece by piece.
