As a native San Franciscan, I have spent my entire life fighting for working families and progressive policies that help create social, racial, and economic justice for all.

Each year I dedicate my birthday to a worthy cause. Last year, I created Big + Black + Brunch to address the decimation of Black Food Culture in SF due to rising commercial rents. It was a success due to partnerships we cultivated with local restaurants, pop-up chefs, wineries, the San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce, Onyx Connection Meetup, Livable City, and The Black Bay Area media company.

This year's Birthday will focus on Voter Registration and Civic Engagement/Education with a fun and friendly twist!

"BALLOTS & BEER"

Bring your mail-in ballots with you to my birthday party for a chance to win prizes and connect Grassroots candidate names with faces in our crowded Democratic County Central Committee race. We will also help you learn more about the current ballot measures over a glass of beer. If you are not registered to vote yet, don't fret we will be having a raffle just for you newbies.

This event is open to everyone. So please feel free to invite as many friends as possible. The BEST Birthday present you can give me this year is your PRESENCE!
