Payday lending preys on the most vulnerable people in South Carolina, the poor, the elderly, the disabled and the military. Payday loans are designed to get people trapped in a system that charges over 300% APR and encourages borrowers to churn loans to entrap them in debt.
Large for-profit corporations have bought both sides of the aisle in Washington and Columbia to rig our laws so greedy payday lenders can prey upon our citizens.
Unfortunately for South Carolinians, the failed, broken and corrupt political establishment in Columbia has given these for-profits the green light to do what they will with no regard for the impact on our people.
When I am Governor, the for-profits are no longer going to have their way with us. We will hold the line and prevent them from causing us direct economic harm. We will,

I am the only candidate running for Governor of South Carolina who is not a politician and is Committed to restoring Servant Leadership to South Carolina.
This campaign is taking on a political and financial machine that backs corrupt politicians who will do their bidding. When they do their bidding, it causes us direct economic harm. Make no mistake they are attacking us with everything they have to try and keep our voice from being heard.
I have done something no one in South Carolina political history has done. I am spending a portion of my life savings to help fund our campaign. The reason is because I believe the people of South Carolina deserve a governor who belongs to them and no one else.
When I am elected as our state’s next governor, I do not want to owe anyone but the people of South Carolina. Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to completely fund our campaign, which is why I need your help. I understand how hard you work for your money and cannot tell you how much I appreciate any level of donation to help spread the good word.
