Toronto residents Soroush Hatami and Daniel Sellers both qualified for the 2018 Boston Marathon, but they turned their attention to something more important when Donald Trump became president of the United States.
Soroush was born in Iran—one of the countries targeted in Trump's bigoted travel ban—and suddenly faced the prospect of being stopped at the border on his way to Boston. Although Soroush has now applied for Canadian citizenship and hopes to have his passport in time to race, other victims of the ban still face problems much bigger than missing out on a marathon.
As Soroush and Daniel train this winter, they're raising money for two excellent organizations working hard to defeat this hateful policy. Please show them your support by making a donation today.
