"I never fancied myself a politician. But Congress unleashed disastrous policies on our region, and Congress is where we must fight.”
— Pete Barlow
There is no question that something is wrong in Congress. Every day, the majority cedes Constitutional authority and responsibility to the Executive Branch.
I quit my job at FEMA to take on Ben Cline, who has been a cheerleader for the disasters impacting people who live in Virginia's 6th Congressional District.
No one voted to throw our neighbors off Medicaid or their Affordable Care Act insurance. But Ben did. No one voted for the fluctuating tariffs that are destabilizing our economy. Not farmers. Not small businesses. Not consumers. The worst part is that Ben refuses to hold a town hall and hear directly from his constituents.
I am listening. I have been traveling the district since August, listening to people of all political persuasions. They are mad and they are scared. And, they are fired up to bring change.
We are running a campaign guided by local people who respect and understand what makes this district special. Please donate what you are able so I can continue reaching voters who are ready to take action.
