I will win this election in six ways:

1. Texas redistricting gives TX-25 a new map with new people. Roger Williams doesn’t have name recognition with a huge portion of Fort Worth now in his district. These are new urban voters with no incumbent loyalty to him.

2. Age. Roger Williams will be 77 in the mid-term elections (79 if he should win). He’s slow, tired, and hasn’t had to campaign in 5 years. Voters see it’s time for him to retire.

3. Giving people something to vote FOR. I’m not just a protest vote against Trump. I’m a 22-year combat veteran running on my 30+ year career of service. I’m giving people something to vote for, and someone to believe in.

4. Voter turnout. Texas Democratic Party Chair Kendall Scudder told me if Democrats just vote in 2018 numbers, we’ll win the 5 seats Republicans are trying to steal plus an additional seat. And that’s just 2018 numbers. 2026 will be higher.

5. No downballot Trump votes. Roger Williams benefited greatly from voters who only came out to vote for Trump. Without Trump at the top of the ticket, Williams will lose tens of thousands of votes.

6. The “sit this one out” factor. Republicans will see in me a 22-year veteran who’s “safer” than Kamala or Hillary. They don’t have to vote for me, but they will be comfortable staying home and not voting.
