About Ron Bautista

He's a local activist and former candidate for mayor of Hoboken. He has been an advisor on transit solutions for the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, for institutions like the NY State Department of State on building a stronger relationship between government and the people, and has been an executive director for an education nonprofit.

Bautista decided to run for office to work for a more people-friendly Hoboken; a city that works for everyone. Ron’s platform is focused on making living in Hoboken more affordable, promote an active life through street art and safer streets for everyone, and addressing climate change with a Hoboken Green New Deal.

Bautista's Code of Ethics

This is his first agreement with the people of Hoboken, a set of values that neighbors, politicians, friends and family will expect him to follow and that he's happy to be accountable for.

Inclusion: I pledge to fight for people’s rights to be treated fairly and respectfully, to have equal access to opportunities and resources, and for the right of people to earn a livable wage.

Responsibility: At the end of the day we’re all neighbors, which means we’ve all decided to be part of one community. We are all in this together and we share a responsibility with each other. This is why I pledge to have people’s lives always come first in government decisions, starting with our most vulnerable neighbors.

Transparency: I pledge to represent the people, not big money donors. I will refuse any contributions from real estate developers, corporate PACs or corporate lobbyists.
