Serving the Greater Katy, Fort Bend County, and West Houston, Texas community through hundreds of humanitarian actions annually. The Texas Secretary of State recognizes us to do business as Katy Lions Club & Fort Bend West Houston Lions Club.


We're an all-volunteer service organization working with local businesses and charities to meet the needs of our community. Our club does a lot. Below are just some of the projects we're actively undertaking.


  • Collecting used glasses for distribution worldwide
  • Turning new or gently used eye glass cases into hygiene kits for young women
  • Providing eye exams & glasses to students, the homeless, & disadvantaged
  • Adult continuing in the workforce scholarship
  • Community-wide recycling days
  • Free gender-affirming clothing boutique
  • Collecting Manufacturer Coupons for Active-Service Military
  • Education seminars, including how to protest taxes, how the courts work, and much more
  • Blood drives in partnership with the local blood bank
  • Nonperishable food & boxed milk collections for local nonprofits
  • Collecting new & gently used apparel for local nonprofits
  • Laundry detergent collections for local nonprofits to help the homeless
  • Empowering and educating students to effectively self-advocate
  • Toy drives bringing joy to children in the hospital or who have been impacted by devastation
  • Plastic bags into park benches
  • Retiring tattered or damaged U.S. Flags
  • Sending children with special needs or medical conditions to summer camp for free
  • 17 entries into the largest art competition in the world, with the global winner being recognized at the U.N.
  • Planting trees all over the world to counteract deforestation

Statement of Purpose: Supported by various Texas based nonprofits, the Katy-located Fort Bend County West Lions Club is a community serving nonprofit with the mission of serving the Greater Katy, Fort Bend County, and West Houston, Texas community. Our purpose of providing humanitarian support and community-based assistance is what guides us in our decisions. As your local association, we are focused on being the light to all people, with emphasis and particular focus on the LGBTQIA+ community that is historically marginalized, ostracized, and left out of the conversation. As one of only three LGBTQIA+ specialty clubs worldwide, we strive to be an open, welcoming, and inclusive organization serving everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, or identity. We are always on the lookout for more ways to be of greater service to all residents and stakeholders in and around Katy, Fort Bend, and West Houston.
