The special election for Alexandria City School Board District A is on January 9. I’m running because I care about kids in Alexandria and I want them to have great schools. Our teachers, principals, bus drivers and other staff are working hard every day to support students. They deserve to have a competitive salary and positive working conditions. My priorities will include recruiting staff through competitive salaries, addressing the bus driver shortage, implementing union recognition and collective bargaining, enhance outreach to the Latino and other immigrant communities and making sure students have the social, emotional and academic support they need to be successful in school.
