In this overwhelming climate of escalating racism, antisemitism, homophobia, attacks on social services, environmental protections, it is vital that we work to organize against white supremacy in white communities, especially in the parts of the country that make up Trump's base. There are amazing progressive organizers throughout the south and midwest, and they are building the kind of grassroots power we need to win.
Catalyst Project and Highlander Center are hosting a convening of organizations that are building anti racist power in poor and working class white communities this April. Please make a donation to make this event accessible to poor and working class activists and organizers.
40 organizers from across region, culture, and issue will come together to:
- Discuss what’s needed during this moment of accelerated white supremacy
- Share organizing skills and lessons across geographies and sectors
- Share and build strategies about how the white working class can shift to see themselves as part of a broader, multi-racial working class
- Build relationships between more poor and working class white organizers committed to anti-racist struggle
