I am running for re-election to City Council because I love Burlington. I want to continue to give back and improve life here for everyone in our community.
I’m thrilled to be running for re-election! When I was elected in March of 2022 we were still in the throes of the pandemic. We couldn’t canvas, have house parties, or do so many of the things that campaigning is made of. This time, I am determined to see all 65 residential streets in Ward 5! We’ll keep you posted on my progress.
I was grateful then, as I am now, for your support. I’ve worked hard to make my seat on city council impactful for you. This session we’ve created a more sustainable and livable city. We’ve supported tenants and affordable housing. Long-stalled downtown projects are now under construction and the new South End Innovation District has been re-zoned to allow for additional housing opportunities.
I’ve also worked hard to support our public safety. I've consistently voted to support police recruitment and retention, and the creation of new positions to complement the work of our first responders. To ensure Burlington is safer for all, I also understand the pressing needs to do more to help those experiencing homelessness, and to be more innovative on harm reduction efforts for our neighbors suffering the effects of the drug and overdose crisis.
This campaign season I am determined to do all the campaign things we missed out on the first time around. Canvassing, house parties, community events! It is important to me that I get to know my neighbors better and hear from them. Thank you for supporting me in these efforts.
