I am a volunteer with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America! If you had asked me 4 years ago what I would be doing with most of my time, I can assure you that this would not have been the answer! But as a mother of two young children, I constantly worry about their safety...they are getting older going places without me and I will not always be there to keep them safe. I wanted to be part of something I could feel good about and also know that I was doing something that would make an impact on their future. I now spend my time using the skills I gained in my professional career doing something for the greater good, I plan events that have an impact not only for my children but for thousands of others as well. I fight to keep guns off college campus, talk to friends and neighbors about the importance of gun safety, meet with legislators, the list goes on.
I believe so strongly in what MOMS volunteers are doing in my community and across the country that I have challenged myself to raise $2500 for Moms Demand Action by June 2nd - Gun Violence Awareness Day. Will you join me in the fight against gun violence?
