Vision & Leadership

Three and a half years ago, I declared my intention to become a steward of the resources and vision of our township. I have taken that responsibility seriously to ensure that the residents of Delta Township are not only served by their local government but also informed about how actions at the Township level impact their day-to-day.

The role and responsibility of an elected official is to provide the leadership to realize community goals. To that end, I have worked to provide leadership on the following issues:

  • A comprehensive strategic plan and vision for the future of Delta
  • Middle-tier housing initiatives
  • Menstrual poverty issues
  • Citizen commission candidates
  • Union and local contract work opportunities
  • Community development through recognition of Juneteenth as a holiday within the township
  • Expansion of Delta Rocks from one day to a series of events all summer
  • Tailoring ordinances that directly address criminal and nuisance activity in the township
  • Pressing for transparency of expenses for public safety
  • Responsible financing for the Water Resource Recovery Facility upgrade
  • Advanced planning for Delta growth through infrastructure investments

And more.

There is a lot going on in Delta Township. And I am committed to remaining a leader the residents can trust to ask important questions, push for commitment from partners, and communicate regularly.
