Goal thermometer

Last Chanukah, I joined IfNotNow, an emerging movement led by young American Jews to transform our community's support for the occupation into a call for freedom and dignity for all Israelis and Palestinians. https://ifnotnowmovement.org/  The 50-year occupation in Israel/Palestine is a daily nightmare for Palestinians and a moral disaster for those who support an uphold it. Yet Americans Jewish institutions who claim to represent Jewish values have refused to speak out.

This Chanukah, we’re facing a new reality with the rise of Trump, and IfNotNow is mounting a #JewishResistance. So far, our Jewish institutions are showing which side they are on by vowing to work with the administration or remaining silent while he appoints people like Steve Bannon, David Friedman and a whole host of others.

I am proud to be part of a growing movement resisting oppression in Israel/Palestine and in the US. Over the next few months, we will work to bring thousands of Jews into our movement through training and direct actions across the country.

Organizing takes resources! In addition to supporting other work to protect communities being targeted by the Trump administration, please join me in making a donation of any size to support the #Jewishresistance.

In solidarity,

Beth
