Blue Horizon Texas

We're Turning 5. Help us Celebrate our Wins!

Five years ago Blue Horizon Texas made its public debut, when we launched our new resource for Democratic candidates running in rural and exurban Texas.

Here are just a few of our accomplishments from the past five years that we’ll be celebrating, along with some historic election night wins —

  • Launched two sister organizations–the Blue Horizon Action Fund (501c4) and the Blue Horizon Texas PAC
  • Endorsed 162 candidates and supported nearly 400 members of our candidate community with campaign information, training, and peer support
  • Celebrated wins for Appeals Court Justice, School Board Trustee, Justice of the Peace, Drainage District, and City Council in some of the reddest counties in the state
  • Issued 46 filing fee grants in the lead-up to the 2024 and 2026 elections and contacted nearly ONE MILLION Texas voters across those two elections on behalf of our endorsed candidates
  • Produced and delivered 50+ webinars on campaign topics and 8 podcast episodes, highlighting the stories of Blue Horizon candidates and our own journey to found Blue Horizon
  • Completed the research for the Blue Ballot Data Project, to centralize information on over 30,000 elected offices in Texas… and are currently preparing for our public database release soon after the election
  • Flipped 24+ Republican-held seats in the 2026 election and helped turn Texas blue!
