Blue Horizon Texas PAC supports candidates running for state and local office in red and rural districts in Texas. The fact of the matter is running for office is expensive, and it starts with just getting on the ballot. When a Democrat is willing to step up and run in a red district, we don't believe filing fee should be a barrier.


That's why we've started the 2026 Filing Fee Fund for candidates running in districts where the Democrats received 40% or less of the vote share in 2024. We prioritize grants to districts where no other Democrat is running, and for candidates who would not be able to run without financial assistance.


Filing fees range from $300 to well over $1000, depending on the office type and county size.

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  4. I am at least eighteen years old.
