Movement Voter Project

The Big 5 Battleground Fund

Ready to start making an impact in 2020?

MVP is here to help!

For the next 12 months, the Dem primary is going to suck up most of the progressive movement’s oxygen and money. The vast majority of that money will be flushed down the toilet on losing campaigns. We probably won’t have a nominee until the DNC convention next July - which is less than three months before the start of early vote (!!!). Meanwhile, Con Man Don and his GOP machine will have an 18 month head start to invest in expanding their base in the “Big Five” presidential tipping point states: Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Arizona.

MVP’s top recommendation for 2020 is simple: Invest early in strengthening on-the-ground organizing in the Big Five battleground states.

The strategy behind this recommendation is simple: Block Trump’s path to victory in the electoral college by building the strongest possible field organization in the most important swing states no matter who the Democratic nominee is.

It’s an obvious strategy - not exactly rocket science. However, we’re talking with our local partners, and - even in the Big Five states - the money is not moving.

We can change that together. Donate now to our Big 5 Battleground Fund so organizers on the ground have the best, most powerful programs possible by 2020.

Your donations will be split between the groups in our Big Five Battleground Fund.
