Pedal for Progress: Bike with Beres Back to Burlington!

My name is Jim Beres. I'm running to represent Iowa House District 99. I've been an avid RAGBRAI rider for 19 years! This year, RAGBRAI's 51st year, is particularly special, as the 434 mile route ends in Burlington, which I hope to represent in the State House!

I am 68 years old and a native Iowan. I've spent 21 years as a public defender, 13 years as Hardin county attorney, and spent seven years in private practice. Outside of work, I am part of my church council at Unity Lutheran Church, I enjoy singing in the Bel Canto Chorale, acting in the Players Workshop, and of course, riding my bike with the Burlington Bicycling Club!
