Robert Bilotta

Robert Bilotta for Worcester City Council District 2

My name is Robert Bilotta and I'm running for Worcester City Council, District 2. I want Worcester to be a city where individuals, families and people of all abilities can build a future.

Since running for District 2 in 2023, I've continued to connect with residents and community leaders to build a better city. I'm a board member and disability rights advocate with Center for Living & Working, and member of the Worcester Human Rights Commission. Working to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.

-This past year, I took up a leadership position with the Worcester Together Affordable Housing Coalition, where we've focused on connecting with residents and community groups and leading a campaign to support rent stabilization initiatives.

-I started Friends of Lake Park, a neighborhood group in collaboration with Mass Audubon, focused on preserving and improving Lake Park-Worcester's third largest green space. Most recently, I was asked to join the Central Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Committee.

My continued priority is to improve the quality of life for residents throughout District 2. I believe by working together, we can address community challenges. We can develop sensible programs and policies that create safer streets, improve public works, parks and neighborhoods.

Worcester is growing and I’m firmly committed to the idea that economic development must be community development. I support responsible development and believe we need to better balance commercial development with supporting local business, preserving affordable housing, and investing in neighborhoods.

I want to represent all of our residents in District 2 , while being the first voice for the disabled community on the Worcester City Council. I love our neighborhoods, our parks and our vibrant commercial districts. My personal and professional life is rooted in helping Worcester residents. I will bring that same dedication to you as a public servant. Thank you for your support!
