The panel will be held online, featuring Donna Brazile, Minyon Moore, Yolanda Caraway, and Leah Daughtry, authors of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics and former Governor Terry McAuliffe as panel moderator.
This annual event celebrates the life and legacy of Barbara Johns and shine a light on the important work still being done by Democrats around the Commonwealth and nation to ensure the civil rights of all Americans.
Governor McAuliffe signed the resolution to make April 23rd Barbara Johns Day to honor her legacy and profound impact her advocacy has had on our Commonwealth and country. We are honored to again celebrate her life together with this event.
