Balloon Juice for Worker Power Spring Team in AZ

We are proud to support Worker Power, a multi-racial, multi-generational organization built by labor union UNITE HERE Local 11 that uses union organizing tactics and community-driven electoral campaigns to engage voters and increase voter turnout.

In 2020, Worker Power ran the single largest field operation in Arizona, helping to flip the state blue.

In 2022, Worker Power in helped Democrats sweep 3 major state races in Arizona: Governor, Secretary of State and Attorney General, and was a major factor in President Biden’s narrow victory in the state.

Worker Power is working to repeat their successes in 2020 and 2022 in this election cycle. The organization has recruited canvassers from Arizona and elsewhere to go door to door to talk register voters and encourage them to cast their vote in favor of democracy and progressive policies in the United States.

Canvassers are trained, with a starting pay of $25 per hour, with stipends available for food and lodging for out-of-town canvassers.

For a much deeper dive on Worker Power, here’s a link to an article in the Nation published last year:  https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/unite-here-arizona/  There’s a paywall, but you can sign up for three free articles.
