Our $1 million grant towards the Black Panther building underscores a collective commitment to nurturing safe and supportive environments for Black communities in Oakland, a city with deep roots in the fight for Black liberation and justice. By focusing on housing, re-entry programs, upskilling, cooperative economic models, and access to fresh, healthy food, this project directly addresses the critical needs of Black communities in Oakland, offering real solutions and a model pathway toward Black liberation.
