Contribution rules

  1. If a contributor has business dealings with the City as defined in the Campaign Finance Act, such contributor may contribute only up to $250 for city council, $320 for borough president, and $400 for mayor, comptroller, or public advocate.
  2. I understand that New York State law requires that a contribution be in my name and be from my own funds. I hereby affirm that this contribution is being made from my personal credit card account, billed to and paid by me for my personal use, and having no corporate or business affiliation; and is not being made as a loan.
  3. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  4. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  5. I am at least eighteen years old.
  6. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

Blake for NYC 2025 does not accept donations from: Predatory Lenders: Payday loan companies or financial institutions that exploit vulnerable populations through exorbitant interest rates and fees. Anti-Labor Entities: Businesses or organizations with a track record of union-busting or exploiting workers. Entities Opposed to Reproductive Rights Organizations that fund or advocate for policies restricting access to reproductive healthcare. Organizations Opposing LGBTQ+ Rights Groups promoting discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals. Hate Groups or Extremist Organizations: Any group categorized as promoting hate speech, antisemitism, Islamophobia, or bigotry or violence based on race, religion, sexual orientation, or other identity markers. Foreign Governments or Entities: Donations from foreign governments, corporations, or individuals that could pose conflicts of interest or influence domestic policy unfairly. Individuals who do business with or seek to do business with New York City.
