Blasian Book Fair Orlando

embed errored

The Blasian March is partnering with Make Us Visible Florida, dedicated to integrating Asian American history into classrooms and Kizzy's Books & More, a Black woman-owned bookstore committed to embracing the African-American culture and the joy of reading, to present a FREE Blasian Book Fair in Orlando!

✅ Happening on September 14 from 1-5 PM in Orlando, Florida (Location TO BE ANNOUNCED). We will be offering the community free books consisting of all genres and ages from Black, Asian, and Blasian authors at the Blasian Book Fair to better build Black-Asian solidarity through shared storytelling between marginalized communities.

📚 We don’t quite know each others’ stories. Many of us have yet to understand the stories, perspectives, and histories from the other group. Our goals for this event are to amplify and celebrate Black, Asian, and Blasian literary voices. We would like to foster understanding across racial barriers by inviting attendees to read the stories of a different community. 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞! More event details to follow.

In order for this to happen, we need your help! Our working goal is $6,500 to pay honorariums to artists and speakers, cover shipping costs of books already donated, and invest at least $2,000 in Kizzy's Books & More.

Every penny counts, as our fiscal sponsors and handlers take a percentage of donations, so we appreciate every single contribution! We are also looking for sponsors for the books, panels, water, food, or any other part of this action. Please visit us at www.blasianmarch.org if you'd like to sponsor in this capacity!
