Equal Rights Amendment. It's time, Illinois.

Folks think men and women have equal rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. They're wrong. Even Supreme Court Justice Scalia said the Constitution doesn't prohibit gender discrimination. We believe it should.

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution that would prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex. Most states ratified the amendment in the 1970s.

Illinois was late to the game and never ratified the amendment.

Legislators have had plenty of chances to vote for ratification of the ERA. This time we will make sure they hear our voices.

It's time, Illinois.

Join the campaign for ratification of the ERA in Illinois. Your donation will make sure we are heard. In Central Illinois, we are planning a fall rally, a free showing of "Equal Means Equal", billboards, yard signs, and a full page ad in the Pantagraph. These efforts are part of a campaign to inform and mobilize people to contact our state representatives and senators to vote yes on the ERA this time around.

We need your help.
