Join us and our partner, Black Love Resists in the Rust (BLRR), in our work to change the jail conditions in Erie County, NY and continue to fight for an abolitionist future.
Your gift on this page will be automatically split 50-50% between Black Love Resists in the Rust (BLRR) and SURJ, but you can adjust the proportion of your gift as you fill in your information on the second page.
BLRR is creating a political home for Black and Brown folks in Buffalo, NY who are committed to fighting for liberation. Their transformative base-building strategy depends on having the resources needed to provide political education, leadership development and run campaigns that decrease the power of the state. BLRR has been on the frontlines since 2017 supporting those directly impacted by the racist violence of policing and incarceration.
SURJ's role is to flank BLRR's powerful organizing by dedicating resources to moving white people into action within a multi-racial coalition that has the power to shift critical battlegrounds in the fight for racial justice.
Your donation expands our collective capacity to continue working together for a world where community needs are met by investing in housing, health care and education -- not law enforcement.
SURJ is a 501(c)4 organization doing political advocacy and lobbying work; therefore, your gifts are not tax-deductible. BLRR is fiscally sponsored by the Clean Air Coalition of Western New York, a 501(c)3 organization; therefore, your gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
