Ebenezer Baptist Church was once home to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today, its congregation is led by Dr. Raphael Warnock. Warnock was born in the projects and grew up alongside his 11 brothers and sisters. Since earning his Ph.D and becoming a pastor, he has used his platform to fiercely advocate for civil rights, human rights, and criminal justice reform.
Warnock’s moral clarity and community leadership has earned plenty of recognition, including a spot on the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame in 2016. He was asked by Barack Obama to deliver the sermon for the 2016 White House Prayer Breakfast. Warnock hopes to carry that message into the Senate.
