During the Obama administration, Democrats only held the House of Representatives for 2 years. During that time they scored tons of critical policy achievements, such as Obamacare, equal pay for women, and anti-corruption laws. Once the Republicans took over, that all ended, and they spent their days repealing Obamacare 61 times (all 61 died in the Senate). They also blackmailed Obama by threatening to destroy American credit by defaulting on the national debt.
Pelosi’s control of the House has been the only check on Trump’s power for the last two years. If the Republicans take it back, Trump will be able to do whatever he wants with impunity. And even if Trump loses, we can’t let President Biden suffer the same fate as Obama, constantly putting out fires started by Congress and unable to make any progress due to politically-motivated stonewalling. We must hold the House.
