Black and Pink MA is an independent abolitionist organization working to end the criminal punishment system while supporting LGBTQI+ people and people living with HIV (PLWH) who are involved in that system. We depend on our community to fund our work and offer mutual aid to our members. Your donations directly benefit our incarcerated and formerly incarcerated LGBTQI2S+/LWH members through our programs.
Supporting a person throughout the arc of involvement with the criminal punishment system with everything from bail and court support, to a vibrant pen-pal program, to reentry housing and skill-building, we're there with programming to keep a person connected to a strong queer and abolitionist community.
You'll also help us fight at the legislative level for things like sex work decrim that reduce the contact of our members with the police. And, critically, you'll keep us in contact with our members who are currently incarcerated with mailings and advocacy. We encourage you to follow our work and see how your donations are used by joining our email list.
We also ask that you consider making your donation monthly. Recurring donations help to keep our work independent and reduce our reliance on grants to fund our community work. While we have donors who give hundreds monthly, the average size of a recurring donation is $10 a month. We welcome your support and appreciate every dime.
On May 10th, 2023 we filed to incorporate under the name Friends of BnP MA but will still DBA Black and Pink Massachusetts. Nobody is able to officially register under our DBA name but we are the same website, programs, and paid staff.
